  16. LWPro is not just hype, it's a must have for the serius LW user.  The 
  17. Issue on real world phenomena really helped me to create an car speeding 
  18. down a deserted highway.  The car was just a test of metaform but it came 
  19. out so good I had to do something with It.  The article on lightbeems was 
  20. great.  I already had an idea of how to build lightbeems, from using fog 
  21. objects in imagine, but the article suggests subtle touches that make the 
  22. illusion really believeable.  Use a fractal noise texture to simulate 
  23. particulate matter in the air, turn on world coordinates to make the 
  24. lightbeem travel through the particles.  Paint a map for the light 
  25. falloff, it's not linear so the texture parameter falloff just won't cut it.
  26. It's rendering now!  I'll up load the switcher anim to the LW FTP site 
  27. when it's finished.
  28.     Hats off to John Gross and all the LWPro staff.  They produce an 
  29. excellent product!.
